Need geometry question help/answer?

The Earth is a perfect sphere and a wire is looped around its equator tightly. Now imagine that the wire is cut in one spot and 100 meters is added to it. Then the slack is cut by using posts and raising the wire an equal distance around the earth. How high willl the wire be relative to the earth?
