What's Mey University, Auckland/ NZ, like?

I have a friend there doing a Bachelor of food science and he loves it. He says the lecturers are great and they get to do some really interesting things. I'm at the University of Auckland and love it. There's not so much of a collective vibe but I enjoy the education I am getting.
