What kind of id braclet or dog tag can be used for writing an inscription?

i want to get a braclet or a dog tag where i can write something on it. i am under budget so i thought of buying an id braclet or dog tag from an argos shop. but apparently i need to have proper silver to write stufff on it. i am a bit confused. my plan was to buy one of them things and go to my local shop where they write/inscribe things on. but now i dont know what kinda of id braclet/dog tag to buy?which kind...does it have to be pure silver..can writing be done on zirconia?please help me
