I'm about to go and see britains got talent live, should I drive or take the train? cos I'm undecided?

If I do take the train then I'm not sure how Manchester's public transport works, and I'm not about to walk it from the train station and I most definitely am not going to make the return journey when it'll be 10pm and I don't know the terrain. However I gotta ask how safe is the apollo car park?
