Future technologies and unemployment, what do you think?

I can see a future for technologies that can cut the strength of a hurrican and tornado. by using air guns if possible. Hurricanes and tornado do allot of damage to technologies products. How does technology plan on saving it's own? because people can survive though it may take some regressing into regaining control of the farm lands and livestock as well as the water. I understand technology has a self preservation mind set and people who have devoted their lives to trusting in it to save them during a major depression and thats ok. but when you are out there looking back to where you started from will you be the alien we will have to fight in the future? because you are alienating your self as we speak.
